Morrilton is
a community of approximately 7,000 persons; it is the County
Seat of Conway County and is located in the foothills of
the Ozark Mountains. Morrilton's residents are blessed with
the life-style of a small town while only 50 minutes away
(via Interstate 40) from Little Rock, the state capital of
Arkansas.
The economy of Morrilton and Conway County
is diversified with industry, tourism, retail and agriculture.
All four categories play an important part in the economy
of the area. Existing industry is supported and the Conway
County Economic Development Corporation actively recruits
new industry. Tourism is important as Petit Jean
State Park is across the Arkansas River with over
400,000 visitors per year. Retail is important, with Morrilton
being the retail center for Conway County and neighboring
Perry County. As a part of the Arkansas River Valley, the
Morrilton area has always been strong in agriculture with
the mild climate and abundant crop varieties.

in the Morrilton area, with a large county medical center,
superior private and public schools, a two-year college,
numerous churches, a municipal airport, city, state, and
federal parks, county fair-grounds, golf course, ball parks,
fitness center, county library, interstate access and numerous
