Morrilton, county seat of Conway County, is ideally situated in the North Central Region of Arkansas, just 50 miles northwest of Little Rock on Interstate 40. Nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, it is home to beautiful Petit Jean Mountain and Arkansas' first State Park, while the Arkansas River flows just south of town.

Industries come in a variety of sizes and products. Green Bay Packaging, Inc. has more than 500 employees in its five divisions located in Conway County. Morrilton Packing Company produces the well-known Petit Jean brand of meat products. Podiums and communication equipment are shipped worldwide by Sound-Craft Systems. Telex Communications builds its renowned Electro-Voice systems in Morrilton. SEMCO Incorporated, a builder of specialized air handling equipment, has built two plants in Morrilton industrial parks. Cat Claws is a major nationwide marketer of cat care products.

The Conway County Economic Development Corporation actively recruits firms to take advantage of the many amenities by locating their plants in the community.
